Our small Peak District campsite is ideally located on the edge of the beautiful village of Monyash. Monyash is at the heart of the Peak District within easy reach of Buxton, Bakewell, Ashbourne, Castleton,Edale and Tissington. Fantastic local pub, The Bull's Head (once known as The Hobbit and was twinned with the Prancing Pony in Foolow), in the village serving hearty pub food which can be eaten in the beer garden, in the bar or in the restaurant, next to the pub is the renowned Smithy Cafe/Bistro famous for its hearty breakfasts, ice creams and its muddy boots welcome sign. Behind the pub and cafe is a wonderful adventure playground which is open to all, from the village green you can wander out of the village in many directions along the excellent network of footpaths one of those being the popular Limestone Way which meanders it's way through the wonderful Peak District countryside. Visitors who stop off in the village on this walk have passed through Cromford, Bonsall and Youlgreave coming from the south and from the north they have taken in Castleton, Tideswell,Millers Dale, Taddington and Flagg. A short walk out of the village will take you to Parsley Hay where you can join the Tissington and High Peak Trails. From here the trail splits and you can either take in Alsop,Tissington, Thorpe and Ashbourne, skirting the renowned Dove Dale, on the Tissington Trail or head out towards Middleton, Black Rocks and Cromford on the High Peak Trail.
